Thank you for choosing Line Norchard for your makeup and beauty needs. We strive to provide exceptional service and want you to be completely satisfied with your experience. This Refund Policy outlines our guidelines for refunds, cancellations, and rescheduling.
Important Note: By booking services with Line Norchard, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.
1. Service Bookings and Deposits
1.1 Booking Deposits
To secure your appointment for our makeup services, we require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking:
- Bridal Makeup: 50% of the total service cost
- Special Event Makeup: £40 deposit
- Editorial & Fashion Makeup: £60 deposit
- Personal Makeup Lessons: £50 deposit
The balance of payment is due on the day of service, prior to the service being rendered.
1.2 Deposit Allocation
Your deposit is applied toward the total cost of your service. It reserves your appointment slot and covers preliminary preparation costs.
2. Cancellation Policy
2.1 Standard Services (Non-Bridal)
For all standard makeup services (special events, editorial, and lessons):
- Cancellations made 48+ hours before appointment: Your deposit can be transferred to a new appointment within 3 months of the original date.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before appointment: Deposit is forfeited.
- No-shows: Deposit is forfeited, and you may be required to pay a new deposit for future bookings.
2.2 Bridal Services
For bridal makeup services:
- Cancellations made 30+ days before wedding date: 50% of your deposit can be refunded.
- Cancellations made 14-29 days before wedding date: Deposit can be transferred to another service within 6 months.
- Cancellations made less than 14 days before wedding date: Deposit is non-refundable.
- Bridal trials: Follow the standard services cancellation policy.
3. Rescheduling Policy
We understand that circumstances may require you to reschedule your appointment:
- Rescheduling 48+ hours before appointment: No additional fee, and your deposit transfers to the new date.
- Rescheduling less than 48 hours before appointment: A rescheduling fee of £25 will apply, in addition to your original deposit.
- Bridal appointments: Can be rescheduled once without penalty if done more than 30 days before the wedding date. Subsequent changes or changes within 30 days incur a £50 rescheduling fee.
All rescheduled appointments are subject to availability.
4. Service Dissatisfaction
Your satisfaction is our priority. If you are not completely satisfied with your makeup service:
- Immediately inform your makeup artist during or at the completion of your service.
- We will make reasonable adjustments to address your concerns at that time.
- If adjustments cannot be made immediately, contact our management team within 24 hours of your service with details and, if possible, photos.
We handle each dissatisfaction claim on a case-by-case basis and may offer one of the following:
- Touch-up appointment at no additional cost
- Partial refund of the service fee
- Credit toward a future service
Please note that refunds are not provided based on stylistic preferences if the work delivered was as described and professionally executed.
5. Product Purchases
5.1 Unopened Products
For makeup products purchased from our studio:
- Unopened, unused products in original packaging may be returned within 14 days of purchase with proof of purchase.
- A refund will be issued in the original form of payment.
- Shipping costs (if applicable) are non-refundable.
5.2 Defective Products
If a product is defective or damaged upon receipt:
- Contact us within 7 days of receiving the product.
- Provide photos of the defective product when possible.
- We will replace the product or provide a full refund including any shipping costs.
5.3 Opened Products
Due to health and hygiene concerns, we cannot accept returns on products that have been opened, used, or had their seals broken, except in cases of allergic reactions.
5.4 Allergic Reactions
If you experience an allergic reaction to a product:
- Discontinue use immediately.
- Contact us within 48 hours of the reaction.
- Provide documentation from a healthcare provider when possible.
- Return the product (even if opened) for a full refund.
6. Gift Certificates
Gift certificates and gift cards:
- Are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- Can be transferred to another person but must be used for Line Norchard services or products.
- Lost or stolen gift certificates can be replaced only if proof of purchase is provided and the certificate has not been redeemed.
7. Special Circumstances
7.1 Illness
If you must cancel due to illness:
- Notify us as soon as possible.
- Provide documentation (like a doctor's note) when requested.
- Your deposit may be transferred to a future appointment, at our discretion.
7.2 Cancellation by Line Norchard
In the rare event that we must cancel your appointment:
- We will notify you as soon as possible.
- Your deposit will be fully refunded, or you can choose to reschedule.
- If the cancellation causes significant inconvenience, we may offer additional compensation such as a discount on future services.
8. Payment Processing Timeframes
When a refund is approved:
- Credit/debit card refunds typically process within 5-10 business days.
- Bank transfers may take 3-5 business days.
- Other payment methods will be refunded according to their standard processing times.
Please note that while we initiate refunds promptly, the actual timing depends on your payment provider's processing schedule.
9. Amendments to This Policy
Line Norchard reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically.
